Wow!
It seems like yesterday this guy headed off for his first day of Kindergarten. |
Up early- "no folder, empty backpack" they said.
Where's my DC shirt? |
one more minute, please?
donuts to celebrate |
telling us about his self-portrait
that he changed to a picture of Elijah, when E. asked him about the earrings. either way, I think it's great for a barely 6 yr old's work |
He looks so tough |
which one do I want |
getting ready for Aunt Nae school |
Trouble X two- but aren't they adorable! |
So cute. |
picking up little man- last day at Burlington |
Mrs. Flora- we couldn't have done it without her.
An awesome Christian lady who didn't just teach, but loved my baby. Oh, did I mention she likes
sunflowers and UT? |
and we ended the day with a headache- and missing his "bubby"
(he's looking at Shayne's picture to make him feel better) |
I have mixed feelings about this school year being over. I wouldn't call it an easy year by any means. But, we are so thankful for his teacher who I believe made the struggles bearable.
We had our last IEP meeting at Burlington Monday- yes people I cried when we finished up and Rex and I thanked them. I guess when you're in the trenches battling for a common goal, you become family.
How weird is that?
Anyhoo, tomorrow starts summer vacation for Isaiah- Elijah is on a slightly different schedule, what with NefFlix Aunt Nae homeschooling and all.
And we, 40Something parents are finally out of Kindergarten, for good:)
Happy Wednesday y'all!
